1. Copyright ownership

All original photographs taken by Media Images Photography are protected by UK copyright law.

Copyright remains with Media Images Photography unless ownership is transferred through a separate written agreement.

This applies to photographs displayed on:

  • www.mediaimages.uk
  • Pixieset online galleries
  • Facebook and other social media platforms
  • Other websites and online publications.

2. Personal-use licence

When you purchase an individual digital photograph, you receive permission to:

  • Download and keep the photograph.
  • Print copies for your personal use.
  • Share the photograph on your personal social media accounts.
  • Share the photograph with friends and family.

Where reasonably possible, please credit Media Images Photography when sharing online.

3. Commercial-use licence

A personal purchase does not include commercial usage rights.

Additional written permission is required for:

  • Band and artist promotional campaigns.
  • Venue advertising and promotional material.
  • Promoter advertising and event marketing.
  • Business websites and commercial social media.
  • Posters, flyers and printed advertising.
  • Magazine and newspaper publications.
  • Merchandise and resale.
  • Sponsorship and paid advertising.

Commercial licensing fees depend on the intended use, audience, duration and distribution of the photographs.

4. Prohibited use

Without written permission, you must not:

  • Sell or redistribute our photographs.
  • Supply photographs to third parties for commercial use.
  • Claim our photographs as your own work.
  • Remove copyright notices or watermarks.
  • Edit, manipulate or alter photographs for commercial purposes.
  • Use photographs to create merchandise or products for resale.
  • Upload photographs to AI training or image-generation systems.

5. Watermarks and image resolution

Photographs may be displayed online at reduced resolution and with visible Media Images Photography watermarks.

These measures help protect our work against unauthorised downloading, copying and printing.

High-resolution photographs are supplied through authorised purchases.

6. Copyright infringement

Unauthorised copying, distribution, reproduction or commercial use of our photographs may constitute copyright infringement.

Where unauthorised use is discovered, Media Images Photography reserves the right to request removal of the image and pursue appropriate legal remedies.
